Registration for this clinic is open to SCW Pickleball Members only. This is a 3-day clinic. We ask all registrants who sign up for this series to commit to attend all three clinic dates. This series of Clinics builds around the theme Controlling the Point. The clinics focus on eight specific pickleball shots. The game situation and strategic purpose for each of these eight shots will be discussed, demonstrated and drilled. Players will move among four courts and four instructors during each drill for perspective and variety.
The objective of each of the eight shots is one or more of the following:
- Take control of the point
- Take control of the point away from the opponent
- Win the point
- Stay in the point
REQUIREMENT: You should be a self, or club rated 3.5 player or higher to take this series of classes. You should be able to execute shots with consistency and beginning to play and place shots at different speeds and direction with purpose. If you are unsure of your level of play, contact the instructor for evaluation.
The lead instructor for this class is John Costa, whose tennis background includes the Oregon State 55 doubles champion.
